For some women, exercise is a means to an end — and

by 'end,' we mean being in shape enough to pull off wearing that special dress or feeling

confident enough to wear a two-piece on your next vacation. But there are other fitness-based goals that go beyond looking good that are equally important for women. Here are four that The Academy strives for that every woman should try at least once: Butts & Gutz and Cardio

Kick Core, (your body will thank you for it later!). See scheduling spreadsheet for times.

              1) Building core strength

              2) Build up your endurance

              3) Strengthen and shape your chest, shoulders and tricep

              4) Build functional strength that trains your muscles to work collectively, which can improve your performance in any everyday activity or sport, and ultimately improve your body's overall posture.

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that builds flexibility, muscle strength, and

endurance in the legs, abdomen, arms, hips, and back. Emphasis is on spinal and pelvic

alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance. Pilate's system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advance. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. This Pilates will improve posture and energy. Pilates improves muscle tone, balances musculature, supports beautiful posture, and teaches you to move with ease and grace. All of these things will make you look and feel very fit.
